The Supervisor of Elections office partnered with Collier County Public Schools libraries this spring for the 2022 Sunshine State Young Readers Award program (SSYRA). SSYRA and SSYRA JR is a statewide motivational reading program for elementary and middle school students.

Students who read a certain number of selected books are eligible for prizes and have the ability to vote for their favorite book using real voting equipment provided by the Supervisor of Elections.

By the end of this program, elections staff will have visited more than 14 schools and over 3,200 students have had the chance to cast a ballot.

Jennifer Edwards is our most excellent supervisor of elections. We are very lucky in Collier County to have her. I have never been anywhere that is so organized and trust worthy under Jennifer’s management. We are very lucky indeed. Thank you Jennifer.
