The Friends of Tigertail Beach recently hosted their summer beach cleanup on July 6. Twenty-six volunteers participated, including several families and Collier County officials who consistently join the quarterly cleanups hosted by the organization.
Together, they collected 64 pounds of trash, including two large garbage bags of cans and bottles, three bags of miscellaneous debris and several heavy construction items.
Friends of Tigertail Beach will also be partnering with Keep Collier Beautiful for the International Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, Sept. 21.
Hundreds of volunteers are expected to take part in cleanup events around the community. Learn more and register on KeepCollierBeautiful.com.
