Hard shell on the outside, sweet delicious goodness on the inside. That might sound like a chocolate candy, but from Oct. 15 to May 15, it perfectly describes Florida’s treat from the sea: the stone crab.
Stone crabbers in SWFL have set their crab pots out in the Gulf and are anticipating a decent season this year. This is good news for the commercial crabbers and for consumers, as the 2018 season saw a sad harvest due to water quality issues.
