David Lawrence Center campaign furthers conversation on opioid addiction

Our children are more at risk than ever. When they walk onto a school campus, they’re at risk of being bullied and being exposed to deadly opioids. Suicide is also a concern.

Through the #StandUp campaign, David Lawrence Center is encouraging the community to talk about mental health, to keep kids healthy, well and safe.

To further the conversation, we brought Columbine shooting survivor Austin Eubanks in to speak about his decades-long opioid addiction that began with unaddressed trauma and grief. He believes emotional pain is driving the opioid epidemic.

The #StandUp campaign seeks to prevent this unnecessary suffering.
