Yesterday, I gave a brief talk on my book, “Change Begins Here,” and I bombed. I was so focused on the information that I neglected to connect with the group. My inner critic went crazy.
“What kind of communications coach are you, Randy? You couldn’t follow your most basic advice!”
How different our time would have been together if I’d emptied my head, connected to my body and opened my heart.
A missed opportunity, and yet a poignant reminder that true communication requires real connection, and real connection requires speaking from all three centers of intelligence: head, body and heart.
