It is estimated that 20% of adults 55+ experience some type of mental health concern such as anxiety, cognitive impairment and depression.
The number of clients 65+ who seek treatment for major depression or addictive disease at DLC is increasing. As a result, DLC has partnered with Moorings Park to fund behavioral health treatment for uninsured or underinsured seniors and spread awareness.
This month, DLC is also encouraging our senior community to prioritize mental health through its Mind Your Mind initiative by sharing resources and tips for senior and caretaker wellbeing as well as ways to support senior mental health.
