Retirement isn’t quite what it used to be

by The 100 Companies

According to a recent article on Empower.com, Florida continues to top the list as one of the top domestic locations to retire. While that might not come as a surprise, there are some generational shifts in expectations for retirement.

Sixty-four percent of Baby Boomers and Gen Xers believe they’ll continue to work after retirement for both personal fulfillment and financial need. Up to 13 percent of Gen Z respondents said they’d prefer to retire abroad.

While most generations ranked cost of living as the most important factor in choosing where to retire, Gen Z ranked climate the most important.
