Four-point-six pounds! According to the Environment Protection Agency, that’s how much waste each person produces daily – the equivalent to a two-liter soda bottle. Multiply that by the number of residents in your city and you can imagine how much space our waste would occupy in a year’s time, or over a lifetime.
Instead of throwing away all your trash, recycle and give waste a second life. When done right, recycling can significantly reduce the amount of trash that directly go to the landfill. It’s not difficult at all, especially if you have a local recycling facility to help you out.
