Recycle right to avoid dangerous fires

by The 100 Companies

Did you know vehicle fires can start in Waste Management trucks if flammable or hazardous materials are thrown away in home trash or recycling containers?

Avoiding vehicle fires is important, especially to prevent wildfires that spread quickly in the dry season, and to protect our Waste Management drivers, landfill employees and first responders from dangerous situations.

Charcoal can burn for up to 48 hours, so always thoroughly douse it with water after your backyard grill out this weekend.

And be sure to bring any household hazardous waste (pesticides, batteries, pool chemicals, gasoline. etc.) to the county’s hazardous waste disposal centers.
