Real fishing in a virtual tournament

The 23rd annual Gene Doyle Fishing Tournament is scheduled for Oct. 1 to Oct. 20, with fishing open to angler’s choice. Registration is required, but there’s no fee to participate in this catch and release virtual tournament.

Prizes will be awarded in each division for largest snook, largest redfish, largest trout and largest largemouth bass, in addition to prizes for best photograph, Trash Can Slam and “most outstanding fish ever caught,” which asks anglers to submit any photo of any fish they’ve caught in their lifetime for consideration for the most outstanding catch.

Registration is currently available at GeneDoyle.org.
