Punta Gorda Airport joins movement to recognize hidden disabilities

by The 100 Companies

As you make your holiday travel plans this year, you might want to pick up a sunflower for your trip. The Punta Gorda Airport recently joined the international Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Network.

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program originally launched in the UK to help those with disabilities that are not obvious, such as autism, dementia, anxiety and visual or hearing impairments. You don’t have to qualify for the program – just request a sunflower lanyard from the airport and wear it during travel to indicate that you need additional support or time.

More than 230 airports and 15 airlines participate worldwide.
