It is getting close to the time of year in SWFL when many people plan to head back up north for the summer. We offer these tips for all our winter residents:
• Hire a home-watch service, and make sure they’re able to start any vehicles you may be leaving.
• Clean out perishables from cabinets and refrigerator.
• Clean up and bring in any loose items and outdoor furniture that may get blown over during storms.
• Check your hurricane shutters, and unplug all electrical devices.
