The power of a personal story in creating connection

by The 100 Companies

Our team is often asked to draft a “script” for video testimonials. Canned scripts can be effective for advertising a commodity, but they rarely create an emotional connection with a non-profit organization’s mission.

As soon as I met Tami Balavage, co-founder of Help a Diabetic Child, I knew she had a powerful story to share. Although no one in my family has experienced diabetes, Tami quickly drew me into her organization’s mission. By sharing her vulnerability and emotion through this interview, she creates an emotional connection that I will never forget.

Watch her video and let me know your thoughts!
