In this digital age, it is especially difficult to leave work behind during holiday travel. Be sure to prepare in advance.

This includes setting up a detailed out of work auto-reply for any emails that come in and notifying necessary coworkers that you will be away.

Find every app and messaging service that you use for your work, and turn those notifications off.
If your job doesn’t allow you to fully disconnect, then schedule specific check-in points, and spend an hour going through emails to get back on track. Having defined time will allow you to focus more on family.
