Make mail security part of your travel plans

Travel plans are about the journey and the destination, but have you made plans to keep your mail safe while you’re away?

If you are going to be away for more than a day or two, mail piled up at your mailbox can be an obvious tip to burglars and mail thieves that no one is home.

Let the United States Postal Service know you will be away, and they will hold your mail for up to 30 days. It’s quick and easy to fill out a hold request online, and if travel plans change, you can adjust your request.
