In the August issue of The Vine Vineyards Community Magazine, Sen. Kathleen Passidomo shares more information about the Live Local Act, which was signed into law by Gov. DeSantis earlier this year and took effect in July.
According to Sen. Passidomo, more than $700 million will be invested in funding for workforce housing, including $150 million in new recurring funding. Sponsored by Sen. Alexis Calayayud of Miami, the Live Local Act is the product of years of discussions with key stakeholders around the state. Ultimately, the goal was to tackle the complex issue of housing from all angles.
