On Thursday, March 14, the sanctuary is hosting a special event in honor of National Learn About Butterflies Day with fun-filled activities for all ages. Participants can enjoy a puppet show about the life cycle of a butterfly, see presentations about butterflies and pollinator gardens, and take milkweed seeds home to make their yard more butterfly friendly. Visitors will receive 10% off all butterfly-themed items in the Nature Store.
Audubon’s Blair Visitor Center and boardwalk, located at 375 Sanctuary Road W., are open daily from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with the last admission at 3 p.m. through April 30.
