Summer is here, and many children aren’t getting their school lunches. Food pantry shelves need to be filled, to help lower-income families make it through the summer. Kraft Heinz employees helped Meals of Hope fulfill this need.
The food packing took place at United Way headquarters, where Meals of Hope delivered the equipment and food items that were assembled.
Employees of Kraft Heinz packed 4,300 meals at a United Way Day of Caring for Meals of Hope. They assembled shelf-stable meals like fortified chicken-flavored rice and vegetable soup, that will help stock local food pantry shelves.
