“Mina Edison” and “Dr. Ella Mae Piper” will be visiting the Edison Mall to celebrate Juneteenth. The two icons will talk about life in Fort Myers during the 1920s. Guests will have the opportunity to interact with these historical figures throughout the presentation.
Artist Marie Dyer has donated a painting which will be available to bid on through a silent auction. Proceeds will be donated to nonprofit organizations in the Dunbar community, where Ella Mae Piper spent considerable time organizing charitable projects. Cookies and iced tea will be served at the Edison Ford Shoppe.
