It’s okay to have enemies in business. In fact, it just might be a recipe for success. Rivals can motivate your workforce to be better, energized and focused. The key is to keep your course of action in line with your values.

Tom Locke, president of Tomtreyco, the largest McDonald’s franchise owner in Ohio, says having enemies increases his drive for success. “Think about it, what would Rocky be without Apollo Creed? Or Ohio State without Michigan? Great battles make life interesting. Work hard and you can and will beat the competition.”
