Hurricane prep includes getting your yard storm-ready

by The 100 Companies

June marks the start of hurricane season. Get ready for storms by trimming dead tree limbs and picking up branches or debris that could be projectiles in high wind.

Follow your county’s yard waste guidelines: you may place up to 10 of either tied bundles, paper bags or 35-gallon containers (weighing no more than 50 pounds) curbside for collection. Branches should be trimmed to no longer than 6 feet and be less than four inches in diameter.

Yard waste collection will be suspended during a hurricane warning, so advanced preparation is the best way to help minimize damage to your property.
