While spending the holiday at the pool or the beach are always popular options for Memorial Day weekend in SWFL, we found a few local public events celebrating our fallen military heroes, and some just for fun.
In Punta Gorda, you can see a patriotic tribute of 501 flags in Laishley Park, or take in a vintage car show at Fisherman’s Village.
Bonita Springs will host a Memorial Day Service in Riverside Park. You can run a 5k in Naples. And veterans and active-duty military can visit the Naples Botanical Garden or cruise Naples Bay with Pure Florida, for free.
