How to Mind Your Mind with DLC and avoid caregiver fatigue

by The 100 Companies

Caring for someone who has significant physical and mental conditions can be very taxing. From physical and emotional stress to frustration and guilt, caregiving can be grueling and affect the caregiver’s well-being.

Studies show that caregivers report depression, mood swings, sleep deprivation and negatively impacted relationships. Along with the heavy workload and emotional demands of caregiving, these issues may contribute to compassion fatigue.

To reduce caregiver stress, it’s important to give yourself a break, nurture positive relationships and take care of yourself. Be sure to tap into resources such as support groups and ask for help if you need it.
