What is it about hosting a holiday party that prompts normal household systems to malfunction? This untimely phenomenon certainly rang true this Thanksgiving. First, the outdoor lights failed requiring an electrician. “So what?” you might ask, but when the gathering is outside, a lighted yard is important. Next was the “failure to ignite” gas fireplace. Thankfully my resourceful son and friend teamed to clear the valve by blowing into a straw.
Thirdly, the guest tub faucet began leaking which required a plumber. And Sonos, my music source, was not cooperating. But these glitches only added to the conviviality of Thanksgiving.
