It was a celebration complete with bagpipes, drums, the Lee County EMS Color Guard and many chiefs, officers and employees representing Lee EMS and Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District.
Leading the cheers: the families of the graduates, and the Hodges U faculty and staff.
The stars of the show: 23 EMTs graduating as paramedics. They dedicated a year of their lives to advance their skills and become much-needed paramedics. Who better to learn from than our faculty, who shared decades of emergency medicine experience in and out of the classroom? These paramedics are ready to answer the call.
