Friday the 13th was a lucky day for our faculty and staff. We held a cookout to bring everyone together and continued our annual tradition of collecting toys for Toys for Tots. Since most of us really like sugar, we added a dessert contest.
Many in our Hodges family brought in delicious confections featuring all that makes sugar amazing. For every toy a person donated, he or she received a raffle ticket. By dropping a ticket into the cup of any of the tempting delights, that person could win that dessert to enjoy.
We collected hundreds of toys for children.
