Help WM avoid truck fires

by The 100 Companies

With 4th of July celebrations including grilling out, sparklers and fireworks, Waste Management sees an uptick in truck fires.

When improperly thrown in a trash or recycling cart, used charcoal and fireworks that are still smoldering can spark a fire. Help protect our drivers and first responders by dousing charcoal and fireworks with water.

Additionally, household hazardous waste such as unused chemicals may pose a risk. If you are in doubt about where to place an item, it is safer to dispose of it at one of the approved drop-off locations listed on the Collier, Lee or Charlotte County websites.
