The Gulf of Mexico Alliance is pleased to announce partnerships with Hancock Whitney and Valero as the most recent organizations to join their Gulf Star Program.

“The success of Gulf Star is built on a unique collaboration between public agencies and private businesses,” said Laura Bowie, executive director for the Gulf of Mexico Alliance. “We are excited to welcome these new partners to the program.”

Funding from Hancock Whitney will support training for resilience experts across the Gulf coast. Valero’s investment will support environmental stewardship through the creation of an “Ocean Guardian” school program with students in Port Arthur, Texas.
