Birthing make-up is trending on TikTok and new moms are divided.
The hashtag #birthingmakeup has racked up over 80 million views. Make-up artist Sarah Stillenberg says “I get women asking me what the most enduring foundation for labor is or which waterproof mascara is the best so that they can still look good in those postbirth selfies.”
A survey by Cosmetify in 2019 found that 68% of British women felt the “need” to put on makeup the day after giving birth. Women are asking two questions, why? And is this a positive movement for women? How ‘bout you do you.
