Gen Z and higher education

by The 100 Companies

Are today’s teens “too cool for school?” Maybe. A new study released by ECMC Group found that only 51% of Gen Z high schoolers think getting a four year degree is important – down 20% from 2020.

Think about it. This group has had access to technology and more information than any generation before them. They see Millennials faced with crushing student debt and are now leaning toward trade-based jobs.

The goal is to work for a company offering tuition reimbursement, like Google. It is also interesting to note, Gen Z believes their jobs won’t be around in the next 20 years.
