Ehren Gerhard is an adjunct professor of art and gallery director at the Alliance for the Arts. With his background in studio arts, education and administration, his passion lies in the power of fostering the creative spirit in others.
Working somewhere between scientific observation and romantic idealism, his goal is to create a living image that breathes and moves. Each successive layer of paint is imbued with the joy of discovery, fear of the unknown and tension between life and death.
Gerhard’s current works focus on Florida plants and landscapes, shining light on the shadows of local flora and fauna.
