While our northern friends are preparing for snow, Floridians are celebrating the 9,200 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails that boost our economy, tourism and health. Our state is home to the longest segment of the East Coast Greenway, a national trail project extending from Calais, Maine, to Key West.
But you don’t have to travel by land. The state offers 4,000 miles of paddling trails to explore by kayak or stand-up paddleboard. Extreme adventurers might want to add the 1,515-mile Florida Circumnavigational Saltwater Paddling Trail to the bucket list.
