FGCU fraternity expands partnership with David Lawrence Centers to support mental health awareness and advocacy

by The 100 Companies

Since the pandemic, rates of anxiety, depression and suicide among college students have increased substantially. In an academic year, a third of students on campuses meet the criteria for a mental health diagnosis. Many college counseling centers are struggling to keep up with the growing demand. The FGCU ATO fraternity knew more needed to be done on campus to bring awareness so they chose DLC as their annual charity.

From campus-wide education events and Philanthropy Week to advocacy efforts and event sponsorships, these young men are unstoppable mental health advocates, raising over $16,000 so far and are continuing their efforts.
