Losing an hour of sleep can be distressing, especially when we are faced with the heavy workload of the season, as well as the tension of the 24-hour news cycle, with updates about COVID-19 and the elections.

If you’re still feeling groggy and experiencing headaches or other forms of stress, the Mayo Clinic recommends six steps to get better sleep. 

Some of the basics include sticking to a sleep schedule and getting more activity during the day. But equally as important is a routine that helps you relax and a restful environment that limits exposure to light-emitting screens before bedtime.
