Science Nites – After Hours at Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center

Where Have All the Mangroves Gone?
Join Rookery Bay Research Reserve for the 2022 Science Nite Series. Once a month, Rookery Bay’s Environmental Learning Center will stay open after hours for Science Nite. Both a social and educational experience, each Science Nite will serve up interesting nature and science trivia, food and drink as well as time for mingling with fellow participants among interactive displays, aquaria and marine touch tanks. This year’s series focuses on local mangrove forests and the important role they play in the ecosystem and food web of Southwest Florida waters. These forests also protect communities from storm impacts, improve water quality and provide a home for fish and wildlife.
