Rookery Bay Research Reserve is bringing back a monthly Science Nite series February through April as an outside-the-box afterwork or dinner option. The evenings include food, drink, hands-on science fun and a presentation by a science expert.
This year’s series will focus on our local mangrove forests. Mangrove forests protect communities from storm impacts, improve water quality, and provide a home for fish and wildlife.
Join us to learn more about how important mangroves are and what scientists are learning through new cutting edge research at Rookery Bay.
Doors open at 5:30pm. Test your knowledge of the night’s topic with an answer hunt. Tables will be set up with bio facts and questions focused on the evenings event.
Heavy hors d’oeuvres, including wine and beer, will be served until 6:30pm, when the speaker begins.
