Punta Gorda Woodstock at the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center

Punta Gorda will be home to the “coolest Woodstock 50th Celebration” Aug. 16 – 18. The Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center will become an indoor Yasgur’s Farm to host an air-conditioned concert to commemorate the famous three-day festival in upstate New York in 1969. Promoter “Tiki Tom” Watson says the preparations are in full swing to present three days of live Woodstock-era music inside the arena.

Watson says the bands are extremely excited to perform at this event. There is a balance of local talent, touring bands and performers to entertain the crowds with flashbacks of the original Woodstock Weekend.
