I’ll Eat You Last: A Chat with Sue Mengers

One of Broadway’s most acclaimed one-woman plays has just been added to the Arts Center Theatre inaugural season lineup. “I’ll Eat You Last: A Chat with Sue Mengers” played the Great White Way in 2013 starring Hollywood icon Bette Midler. This delightful comedy will now be added to the Arts Center Theatre schedule January 4-22, 2023.
This lighthearted show based on the legendary Hollywood super-agent Sue Mengers that managed clients such as Barbra Streisand, Faye Dunaway, Burt Reynolds, Ali MacGraw, Gene Hackman, Cher, Candice Bergen, Ryan O’Neal, Nick Nolte, Mike Nichols, Gore Vidal, Bob Fosse. The show focuses on her interactions with these superstar clients of film and TV as she welcomes you into her glamorous Beverly Hills home for an evening of insider information and dirty secrets. The Hollywood Reporter calls it “80 irresistible minutes of primetime tinsel town dish”
Patty Caroli, one of Marco Island’s most beloved actors, will revive the role at the Arts Center Theatre after having received notoriety in a previous production in Naples.
“We’re excited we were able to obtain the rights,” said Hyla Crane, executive director of the Marco Island Center for the Arts as well as the Arts Center Theatre. Charlie Blum, the chair of the Arts Center Theatre committee commented, “Having Patti reprise her exceptional performance in a previous production was something we wanted to do in the early planning stages for the season. Unfortunately, she was not able to work initially with the schedule so we were overjoyed to be able to actually make this happen in our inaugural season.”
