The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce is inviting the community to get active by hitting the trails or treadmill for its second annual virtual 5K, taking place Wednesday, May 5 through Sunday, May 9.
Presented by Lee Health, the 5-Day 5K in May encourages people to walk, run, skip or bike at their own pace and at the location of their choice, while respecting social distancing guidelines. Participants can sign up for the virtual event and join the fun, sharing pictures along their journey to social media and tagging the Chamber.
Registration is $25 for adults, $15 for ages 12-18 and includes an event T-shirt. 5K participants under the age of 12 are free. Proceeds support the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce and its continued efforts to empower, connect and unite the local business community.
The Chamber will also host an in-person kick-off celebration on Tuesday, May 4 at Palm City Brewing in Fort Myers, sponsored by Collins Vision. Admission for 5K participants is $35 and includes one complimentary beverage, 5K registration and a T-shirt. Non-5K admission is $15 per person.
