
“Florida’s Female Pioneers” examines some of the women who have shaped the Sunshine State on March 28, at 6 p.m., at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates.
Award-winning author and lecturer, Dr. Peggy MacDonald, highlights some of the brave women who have shaped the unique culture and history of Florida. This talk focuses on Florida pioneers and other, lesser-known female firsts, including the first female doctor in Alachua County,and the female students at the University of Florida.
Light hors d’oeuvres will be provided and a cash bar will be available.
