The annual Empty Bowls Naples Event is a deliciously fun day at Cambier Park with a mission to help feed hungry people in our community, one bowl at a time. In 2007, Empty Bowls Naples began with Donna Torrance and her pottery classes at Barron Collier High School. Their mission was to raise awareness of food insecurity and collect donations to fill the empty bowls of local people who go hungry. The first guests were invited to select a hand crafted pottery bowl and enjoy soup from local restaurants. Fourteen years later, hundreds of passionate volunteers have helped this community based joint venture grow to become one of the largest Empty Bowls events in the country. Mark January 25, 2020
