Enjoy this fun and informative class designed to help the beginner birder identify birds outside with seasoned avian biologists. This workshop explores how to use birds’ plumage, shape, behavior and habitat to recognize various species. Participants will start the morning with a presentation at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center and then practice using binoculars and field guides while touring the paved paths of nearby Donna Fiala Eagle Lakes Community Park. The workshop is going to be led by local expert biologists Rochelle Streker of Audubon Florida and Collette Lauzau of Rookery Bay Research Reserve.
