Join Site Program Manager, Holly Shaffer, as she describes Edison’s love for America’s pastime. This will include a discussion about the impact that baseball played in Thomas Edison’s life and some of the famous baseball players from the Philadelphia A’s that visited Edison’s Estate in 1927 for snacks and drinks. Today, many people travel to Fort Myers for spring training games and in this presentation you will also learn about the history of spring training in Fort Myers, the ball parks, teams and some of the players that contributed to the rich history of baseball in Fort Myers.
