KAJ Gallery will be featuring artwork created by artist Andy Howl this month; Howl is a well-known tattoo artist based out of Fort Myers, Florida.
The show “Nunquam Obliviscaris” will open Friday, October 18 at KAJ Gallery with a wine and cheese reception from 5 to 8 p.m.; Howl will be in attendance for a meet and greet.
His gallery, Howl Gallery/Tattoo, is split between rotating exhibitions and tattoo studios. As a Savannah College of Art and Design graduate, Howl’s background is firmly rooted in classical pen and ink principals. As an illustrator, his work ranges from cartoon-ish to illustrative but always has an underlying psychedelic and occult sensibility.
Howl’s artwork will be on display at KAJ Gallery through November 22 along with other gallery installations by ceramicist Chris Gustin, two-dimensional painter Paul Tamanian, sculptor Mark Dickson, and ceramicist Karen Shapiro.
KAJ Gallery is located at 462 Tamiami Trail between 4th and 5th Avenues North. For more information, call 239-234-7918 or visit www.kajartgallery.com.
