Embrace your inner environmentalist while wading through the shallows of Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve. Participants will join environmental specialists for an up-close and personal experience with the many plants and animals that call this estuary home.
Visitors will be provided dip nets to collect organisms like fish, shrimp, crabs and snails. Preserve specialists will explain the role each creature plays in the ecosystem and why the estuary is important in the animals’ life cycles.
Participants are required to wear closed-toe shoes that can get wet, along with a swimsuit or shorts. Pre-registration is required for this trip of a lifetime.
