If you send a lot of emails, you probably have a pretty good idea what words not to use in the subject line to avoid getting hung up in spam filters.
You know words like “free,” “singles” and “winner” will pretty much guarantee your email gets rejected, but did you know there are other subject-line no-nos?
Here are three habits that you should kick:
- Using one-word subject lines gets a thumbs-down from email filters.
- An exclamation point or points triggers a reject.
- Using all caps in your subject line can be a real turn-off for both email filters and readers.
