Political newcomer Sara Doyle McFadden offers sage advice following her first bid for the Florida State House: Prepare for the position.
McFadden took her time to learn everything she could about the issues and potential solutions. She studied the responsibilities it would take to be a candidate and potential legislator representing SWFL in Tallahassee where less than 25% of elected officials are female.
For the next pink wave, McFadden recommends women do it for the right reason, work to make a difference and don’t let others dissuade them. We expect to see McFadden’s name on the ballot again in 2020.
