‘Doctors and Friends’ – a novel that predicted the pandemic?

by The 100 Companies

An ER doctor turned novelist writing about a pandemic before anyone had ever heard of COVID-19? That’s exactly what happened when physician and author Kimmery Martin wrote “Doctors and Friends” in 2018.

The novel’s descriptions of doctors fighting a deadly global virus didn’t come from her own experience, but her extensive research. By talking with more than 40 physicians in fields including virology, immunology and emergency medicine, Martin wrote a pandemic novel before anyone had experienced COVID-19.

Martin talked with PRosé about her third novel and the timing of its publication, her writing inspiration, and her time as an ER physician.
