You might have met him on Sanibel Island, where he was a light-tackle fishing guide for many years. But, Randy Wayne White has a bigger story to share.

Inspired by his love of Southwest Florida, White is the New York Times bestselling author of nonfiction adventure tales and the crime fiction series, Doc Ford Novels.

If you have never read the series, Doc Ford, a marine biologist, is the protagonist in White’s best-known series. The name might also ring a bell if you’ve ever visited Doc Ford’s Rum Bar and Grill, located on Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel.
