David Lawrence Centers to host Youth Suicide Prevention talk with teen survivor Emma Benoit

by The 100 Companies

A suicide attempt left 16-year-old varsity cheerleader Emma Benoit paralyzed, but propelled her on a mission to use her painful experience to help others find hope and healing.

Suicide is a public health crisis that claims the lives of 20 young people every day. The devastating ripple effects impact millions more.

DLC has partnered with Collier County Public Schools to host Emma, now a national advocate for youth suicide prevention, to share her powerful story through a community presentation.

DLC will host Emma for a virtual screening of her documentary, My Ascension, in February and a live presentation in March.
